Dallas County Department of Emergency Management
The Dallas County Department of Emergency Management provides 24–hour emergency management services to the residents of Dallas County. The Dallas County Department of Emergency Management coordinates resources, expertise, and advocacy through a comprehensive emergency management program that includes: prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. The department is also responsible for the dispatch and management of all Dallas County emergency vehicles in the event of an incident/emergency.

Pertinent incident information is gathered from the public and other public safety agencies and relayed to the responding units. Incident status and the status of the responding units is tracked so that additional units can be dispatched and/or unit status can be returned to available when the incident is cleared and closed.||False|
