Stakeholders
The Regional ITS Architecture resulted from the consensus input of a diverse set of stakeholders, encompassing traffic, transit, public safety, and many other operating agencies at local, state, and national levels. It includes both public and private sectors and spans the organizations that manage, support, or are impacted by the surface transportation system, with particular focus on agencies that operate transportation systems in the region.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) offers bus services to the Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station and the Southwestern Medical District/Parklad Station on Bus Route 408 from the Remote South Parking Facility. As well, Bus Route 500 connects Terminal A directly with the CentrePort/Dallas–Fort Worth Airport Station to the south of the airport, and the current Orange Line terminus of Belt Line Station to the east of the airport. On August 18, 2014, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will open a Dallas–Fort Worth Airport Station, which will be located between Terminals A and B. This will provide direct rail service on the Orange Line to Dallas and Las Colinas (with a later extension to DFW North Station). The Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport currently has service to a total of 205 destinations as of January 2014. Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport also handled an estimated 60 million passengers in the year 2013. |
